Break Free

Have you ever sat cross-legged and your foot fell asleep? You probably have. What did you do about it? Did you leave it alone as your entire leg falls asleep? Did you move your foot around just a little bit? Or did you stand up and walk around? You may think it's funny I'm asking you about your leg falling asleep, but, think about it. In your life when you have a problem do you try to fix it? Or do just leave it alone to escalate? In our lives sometimes we just have to get up and fix our problem (after we've prayed and read our Bibles). When I was writing this I thought of Hillsong's song "Break Free". It's an awesome song, try googling it and then listening to it. It's pretty sweet.

Revival

Right now I want to ask you to pray for revival. In the Church, in people hearts and in peoples minds. We(as young Christians) need to realize that now is not the time to sat back and say "Yeah, we need revival." No, we need to be the ones speaking the gospel to our friends, not some guy on TV, not your pastor, it needs to be you. We are in a spiritual battle right now. Not in a far off country that you have never heard of, but, in your country, in your town, in your neighborhood.

"For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness. against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places." Ephesians 6:12 (ESV)

We need to remember that people are lost and they are not the enemy. We need revival and we need it now. Why don't you pray for a friend in need right now? And then tell share about Jesus in a loving non-intimidating way. Jesus loves you. Remember that.

Focus

Well the Hillsong United thing didn't work as expected...oh well, they are still awesome!

Tonight I wanted to tell you to stay focused on God. To not be distracted by the the little or the more big things. For those of you that drive sometimes if you focus on an object(or a person) on the side of the road to long you tend to drift that way. That can be a really bad thing! Reading your Bible, praying, going to church and talking with committed Christians are all great ways to stay focused on God. I was sitting at a camp fire enjoying it's warmth when I turned to face a noise I heard. Turns out the noise wasn't all that important but, with my face turned away from the fire, the fire didn't seem that warm anymore and I kind of had the feeling of "Hey, where did the fire go?". That lead me to think that when we turn our focus away from God we start thinking "Hey, where did God go?" All we have to do is to turn around and God is waiting for us with open arms. He will never leave us nor forsake us. Isn't that awesome?
